VS ute Engine truoble?

hello. I have recently made a 200+ K trip from cairns to mission beach and back.

once i was back into town my engine light flash on, but quickly flashed off, nothing seemed to change.

about 20min later, it flashed on again, and when you exelerated, the car made a sound that i cant really discribe, it was like a lawn mower trying to star, it sounded like it was about to stall. skipping beats, hole in the exhaust... (there is no hole) not to sure how to sya it realy.

i pulled over. turned off the car. waiting about 5 min,then strted it again, the engine light was on at first but went off again. i revend it a little at first, and everything seemed fine, so i reved it a little bit more and it started to make the noise again... i put my girlfriend in the drivers seat and i popped the bonnet and had a listen, i herd a squilling noise at first, but the went away. and when she reved it all i could here was you normal engine noise, but from the side it was lot louder, so i got back in the car, and drove down the road, going from 50 to 60, there was a slight miss beat and the noise cam back but it went not long after.

im stumped for ideas..

anyone got any ideas on what it could be

i had a recent oil change and new filter, and there was some engin oil stop leak put into the oil? could this be causing it? should i drop the oil and place in new filter?

Do a codes test as this may indicate a fault code Checking error codes VR/VS (Revised)
If you added "oil stop leak" that indicates the engine is worn....if so, how many Km's ....also what did the temp gauge read when it was making this noise....is it auto or manual?

ive used the nulon stop leak and had no problems, ive since done 2 oil changes since then and the leak is still sealed up
