    Default L3 Climate Control Troubles

    Hi,

I've been having troubles with my L3 Climate Control. Sometimes it doesn't respond when I change the mode for the vents it doesn't change the airflow but sometimes it does. Also sometimes it will just not turn on, and sometimes half the LCD stays faded and then fully illuminates.

Are these common problems and anyway to fix, could it be problems with wiring around the car or the actual L3 Climate panel itself.

    It's a VS II Berlina.

    Thanks.

The connector into the control module maybe faulty. The control unit maybe broken or on the way out too.

Blowing at the feet is the default position if the vacum side of things is not working. Check all the vacum lines to see if the system can work as it should. If you have vacum then I would look at the vacum pack (coloured tubes connect to it). This thing directs vacum to the flaps that direct air around the different vents.

    Hi,

Well I've removed the dash, and the actuator for the Face vents is not getting vacuum when I set it to face, and sometimes randomly it will just get vacuum. So I'm thinking the control unit under the stereo might be causing the problem, I will have to investigate.

Have checked for vacuum leaks in engine and there is none.

I also understand there is 2 different versions of the L3 Unit, Have not got much info on it but there are 2 different part numbers,
that may cause a problem e.g if you don't use the proper L3 Climate unit with the correct vacuum modulator to match?
