My car has just started to miss fire and pop and loose power, it plays up going up hills and when accellerating. Does anyone have any ideas?

Plugs and leads are new.
Id be checking the 3 ignition coils. When these get old and wear out, they can cause the problems you describe. There is a way of testing them with a multimeter, but Ive seen them show up ok on a multimeter and still cause misfiring, so the multimeter way of testing can sometimes be misleading. The best way to test them is to borrow a mates coil, or get hold of a known working coil somewhere, and swap it over, one at a time with the 3 of your coils, when you get to the coil thats not working properly ,there will be a big difference in how the engine runs etc.Ive found that its best to replace all 3 coils at the same time once one of them stuffs up.If the old coils have the cylinder numbers marked on them in white, then they are more than likely to be the original coils.New coils dont have the cylinder numbers marked on them. Also only try to buy/use genuine holden coils or a good well known aftermarket brand like MSD etc.
**DO NOT Test Coil Packs With The High Tension Leads Off & Car Running** Just Change Them If They Haven't Been Changed In A Long While... Before You Put The New Ones On, Clean The Entire Area Around The Coil Pack (Remove Negative Battery Terminal First).. Also Clean The Harness & Thin Wide Plug On The Side... Could Have Oil Or Dirt In Connections...
Also, Do A Complete Fluid Flush.. ie.
Engine Oil: (After Using Engine Flush To Remove Any Sludge)
Make Sure Oil Is Running Clear Through Sump (Without Sump Plug In) When Filling With New Oil..
(Might Need To Get Two Bottles Of Engine Oil, If Your Engine Oil Is Really Dark & Thick..)
Transmission Oil Flush & Change: (Best To Get Mechanic To Use The Flush Machine & Change Filter/ Gasket On Pan etc..),
Differential Oil Change: It's A Bugger Changing It Without A Mechanics Hoist & Can Be Messy If You Don't Know What Your Doing..
Check To See If There Is A Fuel Smell From Engine Bay... Your Injector O-Rings Could Be Splitting & Sucking Air Through.. Making It Run Rough etc.. (Check All Fuel Line Clamps Too..)
There Is A Fuel Regulator On The Back & Underneath The Throttle Body Too.. Change It, If There's Is Corrosion.. (Can & WILL Clog Injectors) Or Take It Off For More Power (Will Use A Bit More Fuel Though)
It Will Be Evident, If The Injectors Are Blocking Or Dirty, When There's Black Smoke From The Exhaust On Start-Up..
I Can Be Here All Day, Listing Everything...
