It sounds like it could be leaking inlet manifold gaskets or maybe the head gasket was never properly fixed.Did they just replace the head gasket,or did they check to make sure the head is flat and not warped at all. Also the block deck needs to be checked for straightness and will need machining if warped beyond spec. All this needs checking especially if the engine has overheated or run hot at all.It doesnt take long to ruin a good engine once it gets hot.Id take it somewhere get the cooling system pressure tested and get the engine compression tested. These tests are the only sure way of checking the condition of the engine. It also doesnt hurt to get the hot and cold engine oil pressure readings checked as well while their at it.

Yeah, Take It Back To Where You Had It Done... It Sounds Like They Stuffed Up.. Did You Floor It Within The 1500kms Though...?? They ARE Going To Suspect It & Try & Palm It Off On You... The Heads DO Need To Settle After Pulling Them Off & Replacing Them Back...

If There's Steam From The Right Bank (Drivers Side), Check The Hoses Where The Heater Control Valve Is etc (Runs To Firewall & Loops Back)
