It all started when I snapped the back off my harminic balancer pully wheel, I replaced the oil seal, the harmonic balancer pully wheel, degreased a little bit of oil off( not a lot) went for a drive around the block but 25 meters up the road car backfired then staleed, would not start again, next day changed the plugs and lead, still doesnt want to start, (coughs and farts in the throttle body) had some dodgy mobile machanic come out and all he did was mess up my leads, fix that, have fuel, spark,power, but still doesnt start, can anyone help me , Im puzzled, I never took the distributer out but checked out the cap and rotor, all was good there.
Sounds like the water has damaged either (or both) your coil or ignition module. Did you use a hose or a pressure sprayer. Note that EFI V8s are 304 not 308.
