    Default double row timing

    hey all,
    Just want everyones thoughts on this. Has any one used this type before? if so any pics?

    jep, there would be a few members with double row chains fitted. mandatory if you fit valve springs greater then 105lbs on the seat.

    if you fit a double row timing chain you need to remove the balance shaft. a double row timing chain can also foul on the oil pump cover so that needs to be checked as well.

    Yep, the info above from 'immortality' is spot on. Im in the process of doing this at the moment. Steve from Mace Engineering (who is a site sponsor for Just Commodores) sells narrow oil pump covers to overcome this problem of the chain fowling.
