    how does the cam drive this ?

    because this is how its normaly driven...

    by the key (i think)

    I suspect it would go in one of those notches in the small cog. The small cog is the cam cog.

    v6 timing chain whats the cam out of
    I tune the oldschool way fear on the passengers face and knuckle colour cant go wrong
    tabbacco is still my favorite vegetable

    cam came out v6 vr its a double row kit for a v6 1st series oil pump with the 2 flats

    its a timing set for series 1 vn you need the 1990 upwards kit for vn vp vr to match the cam
    I tune the oldschool way fear on the passengers face and knuckle colour cant go wrong

    OP you have the wrong chain set.
