vs 'missing'

my vs auto ute duel fuel has been 'missing' for over a month but sometimes it runs ok.
first it starts going 'bang' on the gas then runs really rough on petrol too.

my mechanic changed plugs and leads, did a compression test which showed it wasnt too bad and he didnt think it was that anyway, next new coils then a new plate and it was ok for a few days. but it is playing up again. they said maybe the computer?

i took it too holden and they said the compression was down and it needed new valves, my original mechanic doesnt think its the compression because just last week i drove it 60klm and it was going smooth before it started to 'miss' again for 50klm and then it suddenly ran normally just before i got home again.

seems like it is playing up all the time now.

yeah hako they said they would do a fault code check when i dropped it in but they never metioned it when i spoke to them this arvo so i suppose it didnt show up much.
