Hello,
I'm just wondering, did Exec have different speakers than say Berlina/Calais/Stat,
which cars had the better stock speakers?
Just out of curiosity, cheers guys
Im pretty sure they are all the same size speakers, 6 inches in the parcel shelf and i think off the top of my head 4 inches in the front door trims ??
As for who had the best stock speakers im sure they are all made out of the same paper rubbish hahaha
are you sure they are only 4inch in the front? thats pretty weak for such a large car. i would have thought that they would be 6inch speakers. the only difference between executive and statesman is that the statesman had a 10 speaker stereo whereas the executives only had a 4 speaker stereo i think.
6" front and rear, tweeters in the dash for all models except statesman. And no, statesman speakers aren't any better, there are just more of them

Haha yeh 6" I think they are, was just wondering if the statesman had like a "Premium" stereo with slightly better ones.
Cheers anyway.
TBH it dosnt matter whats in what model, They were all pathetic. But in aswer though, im 99% sure they were all paper cone.
Yeah good old paper cone. Cost's 50 cents to make and it's good enough for a family car.

my 99 vs ute came with stock papercone speakers but no tweeters
Tweeters are right where the front pillar meets the top of the dash, in that corner.
Hi,
can anyone who has a pair of stock VS Speakers check the impenence on them, it should be written on the back.
Want to know whether it's 2, 4 or 8 ohm.
Cheers.
4 ohm is normal for standard car audio stuff. Can nearly garuntee they wont be 2 or 8, that would be really really odd.
There 4 ohm mate.

Cheers,
I've seen stock car audio with 2 ohm and 8 ohm though
Fair nuff, I've yet to see a stock car audio system myself with 2 or 8 ohm out of the more modern era of vehichles, but not that i have made a point of always checking that out too.
2 ohm is usually reserved for high power speakers, and 8 is generally home audio gear, but that is not nessacarily the case these days anymore either.
4 ohm. some newer cars are 6 ohm.
