    Default bcm help

hey all i was driving today and my door locks started going while i was driving... i have had this problem before and it was the bcm. but the differance is the car is starting this time but the door will not lock with my key? last time when the locks went .once i stopped the car it didnt start again untill i took it to holden to fix. and they replaced the bcm , key reader etc... so i have two questions. 1. if i have to replace the bcm what has to be replaced? the key and barrel and bcm...??? 2.. if the car is starting but not locking and unlocking could that be somthing else.?? oh and both times this happened it was raining. any help will be great

i have an issue with my bcm and the auto lights, if its raining like it is today my lights will turn of when the door opens like normal but when i shut the door (key out like i was leaving the car) the lights will come back on (headlights) also my cruise dont want to work at times and is relay quite annoying. i believe there must be a moisture issue with this body design

if the bcm was only to be changed than just the key heads need to be matched with the bcm, new bcm will need a security number to program a new head or a second hand bcm will either need the matched key head or the security no. holden can get this from the original vin the bcm was taken from

the lights may still come on on occasion as i think you need to clean up the contacts on the drivers door switch as well as replace the BCM.
    I have this problem too.

I have heard of this once before, i think the answer was in the earthing somwhere. Thats all i can remeber from that situation. Also yes key head only needs to be matched to bcm. Like i pointed out in another thread, all is not lost possibly if you get a bcm on its own. You can get those keys off mr minute now, that pick up the bcm code the first time they are used. Albeit they are around $90, but can get you out of a pickle.
