Hey All.
So after everything done to the VR, Service, inlet gasket, new IAC, TPS, full computer reset. Even the one revving it till it resets, It still wants to stall when its hot, and going from reverse to drive, does not stall but comes very close to it. Should i adjust the throttle stop screw and just move it up a little. it runs perfect when its cold. Its really starting to tick me off. It drives perfectly, sitting it traffic it does idle a little rough but the revs dont bounce around. Any ideas would be great, or am i wishing to much for a perfect running old Buick? lol
Cheers
You should only be adjusting that screw when setting base idle.
This is when the idle speed control motor is in the closed position.
Do a bit of a search on base idle reset procedure and Im sure you will find something.
If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?
yep done all the resets, holding it between 2500-3000 for ten seconds, it beeps at about that time so i asume its been reset. think i might get another new iac 3rd party from ebay for $23. cant hurt. but its driving me nuts, the only thing wrong with the car.
Try ur fuel reg mine done what ur is n it was that...or ur map sensor
Well i have changed the MAP sensor from another VR my father inlaw has, no diff. Witch fuel reg would be causing it? i think theres 2, and how would it only affect the issue when its hot?
Mine does that. Isn't a problem I don't think. If it does actually stall then you got a problem. Check the error codes.
Welcome to the internet where people have opinions that you might not like
Yeah does not stall, just feels close to it, revs drop right down. no error codes either. but just about every VN-VR iv been in seems todo a similar thing. so till it stalls guess ill just leave it alone
