Vr speedo revs with rev limit

As stated above i noticed my speedo will rev up to 60k's when been revved in netrual..
what could do this?
dodgey earth somewhere?
ne ideas?

i read somewhere (probly on jc) that its the harmonics through the engine and trans vibrating the spedo sensor, not sure if there is a fix

My VR does exactly the same thing, But only went to about 30kms. Thought it must have been some sort of diagnostic setting. Only happens after a few seconds of constant revs, then it moves up. its strange.
