I have just changed the fuel filter on my vs wagon. I removed the passenger side rear wheel to do this. whilst it was off I noticed that there was a scrape off the body deadner/paint on the inside of the wheel arch it is obvious the wheel has been occasionally rubbing. do I have a crook shocker or suspension bush?
is it that I may have overloaded the car at some stage and the wheels were right on the stops.
(I did move some pavers from just up the road last year)
could this happen?
I haven't really noticed any unusual noises coming from the car it has done 185000 and is nearly 10 years old.
Thanks for any input![]()

id be checking the bushes first then looking at the shock, is your car lowered or stock???
also depends on the wheel size, 18" + lowered + heavy load will scrape.
Some people say less talk more action, i say more torque less traction.
Invest about $140 in an adjustable pan hard rod. It should fix that scaping asap. I have 16 x 8" rims and had the same issue. The inner wheel arches are narrower than that of a sedan so it doesn't leave much clearance wise. The rod will allow you to move the diff left or right to centre it.
