Yeah, it seems you may be thinking a performance chip is somthing its not. The memcal is the chip in your car, the tune on it is the bit that is modified to turn it into a "performance chip". Dont be dissilusioned by any comment anywhere(ESPECIALLY EBAY CHIPS) that suggests that any gains from any so called "performance chip" will see you with anymore then a few extra rear wheel kw's. Do NOT pay hundreds of daollars for one, they can be gotten here from members off this site for alot less and will actually deliver on realistic expectations.
As for tuneing and only playing with fuel, air an stuff, well thats how you make a car go better by playing with that stuff. A performance chip cant make your intake valves lift for longer or give you a bigger bore stroke, no matter how good it is

Well there's a wide range of options and all are good. There's Dr Bob, Delcowizzid and the site sponsor Mace. All will give a good tune that you will notice the difference from factory.

What about greenfoam? You could also tune it yourself costing around $300 and you can tune in real time.

    manual or auto.
    any mods yet?
    I`ve got a spare Dr.Bob memcal.

Have a look at his site and fill out order form to see how much the memcal will cost.

Hey guys thanx for great info.... i am running a v6 3.8ltr AUTO, got 2 & 1/2 inch cat system on it ( looking into getting extractors) and i also have a pod filter on aswell.

so yeh.... will the dr bob chip and the others stated above make a difference from factory tuned, (IM NOT EXPECTING A GREAT INCREASE BUT IF YOU COULD SUGGEST SOMETHING THAT WILL, THAT WILL BE GREAT)

    Thanx

    Hi,

If you're after something that gives a good difference, try a set of high ratio roller rockers from FIT Performance and then see if you can get a tune to suit.

It depends what you want. For instance i want better fuel eco and more of a kick. So when i get the cash ill be doing some live tuning of my own. Lean cruise will be adjusted and ill be changing the shift speeds, times and pressure.

You could try the contact page on memcals.com - http://www.memcals.com/quote_1.htm .
The high ratio roller rockers though, give you more power pretty much everywhere and are not that hard to install so you can do it yourself if you like.

Any questions related to tunes you should ask there, thats what the forum is dedicated to.
If you get smart enough with it all you can get your own memcal and tune it how you want.
