hey everyone
Mate Installed some king springs front, everything looked fine passenger is fine but driver side sounds like crunching metal even if u push on the bonnet u hear it squeak crunch, and if u hit a bump sounds like something is broken what could it be, put the struts together the same way they were taken off.
First of all, have you looked it over to see and tighten ever bolt he undid? Springs are where there suppose to be seated?

yes it sits where the old spring sat
unless its moved when lowered off the jack
passenger is fine so, I have no idea
could be the nuts not rattled up enough. although that makes more of a knocking sound from experience.
strut top bearings/bushes could be flogged out.
did the strut bearing locate properly?
I am not 100% sure
the bearing cap did fall out and I greased up the bearings and put them back in, so sounds like ive gotta pull it back out then or should i get it seen to by a suspension place?
I've always replaced the bearing one may of collapsed
thanks for the info, first time ever doing front springs just odd that its fine when turning etc but squeaks, grinds when u hit a bump or driving normally
turned out to be the sway bar link, he accidentally installed the washers before the rubber basically they were not doing a thing and bouncing up and down
Iv repacked mine before, never had a problem.

Heres a quote from my how to thread on another forum. Iv done this heaps of times and never had a problem. Mind you i made sure where the ball bearings sat fine had no issues like pitting.
If your like me and just want to clean and repack the bearings. Wedge them out of the bushing. Put all the bearings a jar so you do loose them, you can either pour thinners or drown it RP7/WD40 and swirl it around to there all free of grease. Now you have the bearing cups out, you can remove the metal out of them by prying them out. Not much force is needed. Clean all these parts, put them back together. Just some high temp wheel bearing grease. It works great.
The bigger of the 2 bear caps (in the above photo its the one furtherest away from the grease) goes into the bushing. Apply the grease into that one, after you put it the bushing. Put all the ball bearing into it, then grease up the other cap and put it in.
