error code 12, 3 times then code 76
hi guys i have a v6 vs series 2 auto and just b4 while driving in the wet the engine warning light came on ,car seems to drive fine but i got home and checked the error codes and got code 12 [system pass ] about 3 times but then code 76 came up straight after[air/fuel ratio variation between left and right banks].i think this happened to me a couple years ago but im not certain lol anyway i am travelling down south tomorrow and am a little concerned any ideas would b appreciated cheers muz
The gregorys workshop manual says possible causes for code 76 are blocked injectors,faulty spark plugs or leaking exhaust manifolds on one side of the engine.I also know that vacuum leaks around the engine, and faulty oxygen sensors can also cause this code to set.I was getting this error before I replaced my oxygen sensors,Ive never had it come back since renewing them.

Just disconnect the battery for 30 seconds to reset the code, then do a bit of driving and see if it comes back, If it doesn't it's probably just been a "glitch".
