ok so i just put a new motor into the stato and now when i cruise along down the highway and go into a corner it will start revving like crazy even around town it does it but its noticable on my way to work
i had it on cruise control and went into a right hand corner and it started revving like crazy nearly got to 5000rmp but was just slipping like crazy im worried about blowing the gear box now
one of the trans line is slightly kinked i think would this be the issue do ya think?
Is there enough fluid in there? And check out how bad the kinky is, it could be blocked if the kink is bad.

It's also remotely possible that the transmission oil filter is blocked - this will starve the servos of oil and possibly cause the oil pump to suck air. In theory the cooler lines can be blocked off and it should make no difference except the oil will get hot. Also do a code check to see if there are any recorded: Checking error codes VR/VS (Revised)

i just put a brand new filter into it and it has plenty of fluid just seviced the box when it was getting the engine put in the kink is kinda bad :S would it be a bad idea to run normal tranny line from where the kink is all the way upto the front of the car or does it have to be the hard line for a reason?
It doesn't have to be a hard line but there is less chance of it getting damaged.
Re when you changed the filter - did you get a filter for the "deep pan" auto or the normal 'shallow' pan - if you installed the shallow pan filter it will not be fully immersed in the oil and may suck air when going round a corner and....slip. I'm presuming the Stato has a bent 8....if so it will have the 'deep pan' trans.

yeh it is a v8 i might take it into the trans shop i think and get them to look at it
Another possibility is that the "O" ring was not properly seated on the filter neck when re-installed....or the old seal wasn't removed.....but I'd still put my money on the wrong filter for the deep pan causing it to suck air when cornering due to the oil being forced to one side of the sump exposing the filter pickup.
