car cutting out when idleing and surging when driving

car wont idle for too long it will cut out and if you give it some fuel /power the car is alright but then its starts surging and backfires as soon as you take you foot off the pedal back to idle it stalls you can drive it but as soon as your idleing again it stalls have checked fuel filter its not blocked

Have you checked for error codes?

pull the vacuam hose off the fuel pressure regulator and see if fuel comes out of it if it does its stuffed and flooding the engine

thought it might be the fuel pump or the regulator will have a look and will figure out how to check the error codes thanks all for the info
