i was about to put the new vt 120a alternator in my car and i had to swap the pulley from my old vs one, but when i pulled tried the pulley on the new one, i had no thread sticking out to put the nut on.
my pulley's basically flat on both faces, so i'm wondering if this is what the stock pulley looks like, or if it's meant to have a hollow for the nut to sit in.
can any v8 driver help me out by looking at their alternator and checking how the alternator pulley looks?
jst got this off a randon online photo, is this what your after

Mate i did the same thing to my V8 Vt alternator
Im installing the motor in a hilux and to save room im running a short water pump and put a V belt pulley on the alternator etc
See pic below, i went to bursons and ordered the pulley was about $70 from memory part number is a Bosch number is F005 A1 0064
Im running my toyota power steering pump etc, so im going to have to machine a bit off the alternator bracket to line everything up, what ever your doing just check that the alt V pulley will line up with everything else first
Will go and have a look under the bonnet soon and see how much thread i had go through the nut
Just had a look, theres about 1 mm of thread sticking out past the outside face of the nut
