Hey guys, trying to get the exact legalities on sports steering wheels.. ive searched and searched and maybe its the hour of the night not sure, but getting quiet frustrated as it isnt quiet clear cut to me (as i said could be cause its 2 am)
My basic understanding is Yes i can fit a sports steering wheel if
1. My car doesnt have a factory airbag (which it doesnt)
2. the sports steering wheel is in some way similar to my stock one
eg. Design must have a padded horn area similar to my current car
3. Mustnt be smaller then 350mm
Anything else i need to know... would 350mm be good enough for vs commodore cant find the stock steering wheel size.
Any info im missing would be appreciated.... and if possible an example of an ADR approved sports steering wheel for Vs commodore
Thanks in advance

doesnt really help with the actual legalities sadly, cause i know u can equip a sports wheel if its adr approved but i want more details on the legalities as i said, might just ring vic roads or spin by police station and get print of adr regarding it
Thanks but
Basically, if it meets ADR 10, then it is legal. It should have on it somewhere that it meets ADR requirements and which ones it meets. If it doesn't have any ADR information on it, then technically it is illegal.
okay so the limitation on that whole size thing is only 350mm, autotecnica wheels are adr approved apparently now, as are the boss kits
So if they met adr they are fine. phew guess my plans can go ahead
Correct me if im wrong but my car was made before july 95 so then my car comes under adr 10 is this correct?
