I thought the factory security system is just a LED that flashes to tell you want door they broke in through?

I didn't know it even did that I thought it was just a "do you feel lucky punk" to try throw them off cause it could be a real one, I was under the impression it was just a immobilizer.

Ive never heard about the flashing LED security light showing which door was broken into. How does it do this? Mine starts to flash once the immobiliser is set and active. It stops flashing once the remote is pressed or the ignition key is turned on.

The factory security system on the VS is an Immobilizer that cuts off the starter motor when armed as well as disables the ECU, It also has an alarm.

My VS executive has the immobiliser that works off the ignition key,but definitely has no alarm system. It doesnt even have the bonnet switch which connects to the alarm system to tell it if the bonnet is being opened.Ive seen this on higher models like calais or berlina.I dont think it was fitted to the executive and other low end spec models.
