Commodore fuel lights and guages should be taken as a rough guide at best. on my VS exec sometimes thew fuel light comes on with 15 bucks gas in the tank, other times not at all. Once a mate of mine (########) even ran it out of gas waiting for the fuel light to come on (didnt let him use my cars any more after that)

HAHA, funny you should mention this, today driving my fuel light came on and beeped for the first time ever since owning the car for 2 years, the needle wasn't even near empty, was on the second bar from the bottom, where as there have been several times before wheres it been sitting on the red mark and no light or chime.

Obviously has a mind of its own.

i have never seen my low fuel light, or heard a chime. but i do have level 1 dash, so it probably doesnt have that feature.

fuel guage will fluctuate alot when hard cornering. up to half the range or so.

I have a VT so a little irrelevant although it is ecotec so maybe my input can help. My fuel warning light/chime comes in with about 55kms left.

    cheers, Chilly

diffrent wiring, on the vt's the engine ecu takes a reading than its off to the dash, this is why there was a problem with the vt gauges back when they were new. softwere issues
