Hey guys, i just recently found out i cant get my stockies on a soild diff version of the VS. Its about 2mm too small to slide on. However they fit straight onto my IRS version. Is this normal or am i going mad?
Cheers in advance.

I may have worded it wrong. The hole in the rim, for the hub to go through, the live axle model hubs are about 2mm bigger then the IRS, iv tried it on to IRS models and 2 live axle models, and live axle is about 2mm bigger then the IRS models. Its weird.
Ive got a heap of 15 inch standard commodore rims and they all fit VN-VS.Ive noticed either the VN or VP rims are slightly wavy around the centre hole, the later ones were flat around the centre hole. They all still fit though.Ive used them a few different times on my VS(solid rear axle). And they fit straight on.Also used the VS rims on VP and VN too.Ive noticed that rust can build up around the hub centre where the wheel goes over it, this can cause some rims to be a tight fit over the hub.I just wire brush the rust off..
I know its not rust, the latest set to not fit on is brand new 17" chromes. They were test fitted on my IRS, didnt like em, sold them to my mate (he has a soild axle version) and they wont slide onto his, its about 2mm out, no rust on the hub either.
Dunno then mate.Very weird indeed. It will be interesting to see if anyone else has ran into this problem..I thought all commodore wheels were the same (hub wise) VN -VX or VY.Maybe even the VZ.
to be honest i have actually had this exact problem with my VH but never figured out why. i tried to put a genuine clubsport rim on the rear of my VH and it didn't fit (it did fit on the front however). same problem, the center bore in the rim was to small. the rims did however fit a live axle VN (i bought it with them on the car). they should be the same however.

Yea its quite odd indeed, im thinking it could be something to do with aftermarket axels/hubs or maybe just every so often on a commodore there was a dodgy batch.
