Ok so I've got a 94 acclaim auto acclaim with IRS and when I rake off it cluncking sometimes it'll do while accelerating in every gear. It doesn't do it while ur cruising just accelerating. I've changed the tal shaft..the sound seems to be come from under the car near the auto any ideas
Right, mate had same problem, the fix i did was for his was just tighten the tail shaft bolts. It turns out the shaft was loose. Even then if its near the box it could be the unis in the shaft.
Other thing, may not be towards the auto box sound, could be the diff.

Mate give it a carbon clean, take the throttlebody off and remove all the sensors, clena it out thoroughly, do the same with your plenum - just don't let ANYTHING fall into the cylinders!
I did this to my car last weekend (throttlebody only at this point, doing the plenum soon) and prior to that i had the same issue as you. However it improved dramatically afterwards.
