Hey everyone, in my calais the passenger air bag cover is lifted. It has been glued down as a temporary fix, but the time has come to fix it properly. I've located another passenger air bag cover in perfect condition, however it is grey. My calais interior is the rarer dark blue, Ive been looking for air bag covers for nearly 6 months and never ever seen anything (not even other interior parts) in this colour, only ever in the grey.
So the chances of finding another air bag cover in good quality in that color are beyond slim. Anyways I do have the option of changing the whole dash.... but then I would have grey... which simply looks average compared to the dark blue.
My question to you people of the greater forum area, are there any companies like VHT or similair that ever made matching color codes for holden trims? Im thinking if I paint/dye the new air bag cover in the same colour, or paint/dye the whole dash in that colour to get it consistent.
Also need some tips on removing the crash pad with an airbag, removing the air bag cover. cheers

hmm i think your out of luck , on the vht website they only have a few colours in the vinal die listed , looks like thats all they have
You could always do what i did and paint the whole dash bit black lol
Well paint is another option too, but I think dye would come up better.

you can get it properly repaired, i know theres some company, out in the western suburbs that fix it, mines doing the same thing, i cant be bothered fixing it.
What i did was ring up Holden and they gave me a few numbers of places to call that fix it up.
Ah really? Holden were completely and utterly useless when I called them, a few different dealerships too.
Care to share these details? Shouldn't be too expensive if I pull it out myself hey.
