    Default VS Calais Heater Core???

    Hi all,
Ahh so my Calais has developed this smell of coolant when it is on an incline - there is no visible leak until the nose is pointed up a hill / driveway etc.
In the passenger side carpet there appears to be a few drops off coolant. Am i right in assuming the heater core is had it?
Any help will be muchly appreciated.

    Cheers

Sure sounds like it - there are 2 ways you can fix it - the 'book' way which involves removal of the entire dashboard (min8 hrs labour) or there is a shortcut method explained in this attached thread: heater core on VS. If you don't mind living without a heater, you can simply block off the heater hoses where they enter the bulkhead.
