???how to make a plenum spacer for a vs ecotec or where to buy???

Hi guys im new to the forum and just bought a vs with the ectec motor.ive heard alot of talk about making a plenum spacer to increase the power?is there a noticable amount of power gain?and where do i get one?im also wondering if anyone has purchase a performance chip off ebay?and wat r ur thoughts.any info would br great thanks guys

I made a spacer to increase plenum volume many moons ago.
Was built out of marine ply coated with silastic and worked like a champion.
Used the lid to trace a template.

Could feel the difference, but no tune or dyno runs were done.

There not bad, torque feels more like the vn-vr buick Engines and seems to rev smoother

really? you made one with plywood? is it still going well? iv been thinking of making one out of thick alloy

Go with the mace product. Its made of somekind of industrial plywood like material and it will stop the plenum from soaking up so much heat. Cooler Air temps = moar power.
