Vs statesman interior light flashing codes

My statesman has been off the road for about a month or more without a battery getting work done ,now when I start it the interior light will not switch off and starts flashing what looks like codes not sure if they are error or securiuty codes one code seems to be 40 any ideas ?

Problem fixed by reseting the computer 3 times but still like to know what it was all about

My caprice flickers on and off like a code too, but ONLY when i turn the dome light on by the dimmer switch.

Thats interesting ,Mine was doing the the middle ligth ,2 rear map lights and a couple of dash lights defiantly in a sequence with pauses between them ,I think it must be some diagnostic mode that is only in the statesmans but how to intentially activate it or the cause of it is a bit of a mystery
