Default Bosch 044 FUEL PUMP ?????

Does an bosch 044 fuel pump really a valuable upgrade to your commodore?? or is the factory fuel pump more than efficient??
I had one on my vl turbo once with a fuel pressure reg, this was pretty much the main upgrade along with front mount exhaust it had 195kw at the wheels on 9psi tuned. Here i was thinking the vl turbo fuel pump was the sort out for option as it was plenty big enough .....................hmmmmmm

the standerd pump will make upto 215kw fly i would assume as that was the most powerfull modle in the vs range

the only reason to change pump is if you want to upgrade injectors if you just up the pressure on standerd injectors then you just run into troubles so the only way i can see it worth while is if you up the injectors which then means you need better air flow to keep up

i have a set of recoed injectors for a v6 im building did them my self but i have researched and found that ill most likely will just hold them open with the pressure i want to run

oh srry i forgot to mention turbos need a bigger pump so the standerd pump that makes 215 n/a will only make like 190 turbo cuz the manifold pressure backs up into the injectors when they open which also helps the injectors stay shut to a degree

yeh i just heard people swear by the vl turbo standard pump that it is way big enough.
the injectors u are reconditioning..are you just redoing them to standard trim but they will flow full and propper because of the recon or are u changing their flow from standard?? / is that possible.
also what fuel pump is the go for the commodores running over 215 fly kw you dont see much fuel pump threads on up grades but surely there are a few ppls commos running more than 215 fly kw??

the injectors had new o'rings new caps new filter buckets ultrasoinc clean and were folw tested before and after this is just to get the injectors all flowing the same not to improve flow to improve flow you up the the pump flow which increases the fuel line psi but to much psi and the sloanoids in the injectors cant keep up so this is why you upgrade the injectors

i was looking at a 040 but then found a 029 this one flows as good as the 044 and is in tank but you will want 36lbs or 60lbs injectors

yeh true do u do these injectors yourself?? if so would u sell a set? do u find they make a noticeable difference on the running smoothness of the engine??
an old mechanics trick is to slightly crush the pressure reg which raises pressure but obviously u need to be able to constantly check the pressure so you dont over do it??
i just find it interesting when there are all these bolt on mods that increase your rwkw instantly when do u get to the point of upgrading the fuel system to suit/match the other bolt on mods kw.......

it'll be cheaper to get a nearby mech to do them

like i said i think the limet of the standerd pump would be 215kw fly

i my self am still learnig about fuel i have injector plans that will increase power and economy but im sure they have been done before

i was talking to another mech about 9 hole injectors compared to 4 hole he thinks the 9 holes are for economy but me's a thinks that there is power to be had with spray patterns with less flow but i need to test this threoy

but i think im right as in my reasearch the more atomized the fuel the better
