VS BCM Issues anyone got any ideas?

Hi had some issues with my bcm a while back took it out to get it looked at and now when ive plugged it in again none of the central locking works and the immobiliser is one constantly meaning I cant start the car. Question is when I removed the bcm did I wipe all the information on it regarding the keys? or has the battery in the key died in the process. Cheers

sounds like a key issue as you will have to unlock with the key button to disable the alarm/immobilizer, unless some of the wiring is damaged it should work.

Maybe you could borrow another BCM thats the same level (low, medium or high)and borrow the ignition key fob from the same car the BCM comes from,and then fit these to your car temporarily to see if it will start.If it does,its either a faulty key fob or BCM.If theres no difference,then check all the wiring connections under the dash.Also check the fuses,fusible links,and try swapping the relays under the bonnet around, also make sure the battery teminals are clean and tight.
