Red face My VSII - Amy (also looking for some advice)

This is my beautiful 1996 Holden Commodore VS Series II. She's stocky at the moment but finishing school soon so hopefully get enough work to buy her some news things.

    COLOUR: Botanica

    TRANSMISSION: 4sp automatic

    BODYKIT: stock executive

EXHAUST: 2.5" catback, sports muffler, dual chrome tip

    ENGINE: 3.8L V6 Buick Ecotec

    KM'S: 204,XXX

    RIMS: aha,, interceptors

    OTHER NOTES:
    -four pioneer 130w speakers
-7" motorized touch screen dvd player (with 40w inbuilt amp)
-black altezza tail lights, dual fuel.

    FUTURE MODS:
    - needs rims, asap, but cheap, if anyone has anyone lemme know? need good tread tyres and looking for hopefully 16's, price range is around 100-200issssh.
    - amp+sub, probably not for few months yet
    - lowered, probably not til after the sounds system and i get onto my P2's
    - extractors, pacemakers would be nice, to give it a better note and more power
    - shift kit, any links, prices, good brands etc?
    - cold air intake and air filter
    - personalized plates
    - sway / strut bars

Aha btw the hubcaps are coming off as soon as i get it back from the mechanic, please dont judge :P

    DISASTER STRIKES!!!!!!!!

Got pulled over by the cops, he goes through my car, finds nothing, looks in my engine bay, points to a drop of oil and defects it. Getting it fixed now but had to pay over $800 to have a whole bunch of little shit fixed so hopefully it will make it through regency. Going in next wednesday to have it inspected and it should make it through, if it doesnt will not be happy.

Whilst your car looks great and I'll bet is 100% roadworthy and in great mechanical shape, plus you drive responsibly, to a copper it says "pull me over" in big letters. It will happen again and again unfortunately. Young blokes in their pride and joy are easy and attractive bait. Your best defense is simply to be nice and keep your cool when Constable Plod pulls you over next. Nothing beats a smile and good manners. Nice car.

i used to have a s1 rx7, the initial defect was justified: horn didnt work, drivers seat was fair loose on the rails, passenger door wouldnt open and a few other minor things. took it to regency where it got defected again for exhaust noise, brakes were shot and because there was some DRIED on oil on the underside of my gearbox. they had the car up on a hoist and made me walk around underneath it with them and when they showed me the oil and said it was a defect i nearly laughed. it was so dried on it was practically burnt and faded and was obvious the car wasnt leaking any oil. basturds still expected me to clean it up though... took a whole frigging afternoon under some car ramps to scrub that off with degreaser

i agree with you a bit about the tail lights,,, sometimes they look so shit aha, specially the chrome ones lol. buuut. i like them on my car, i think the colour suits it. but yeah i get what you mean.

and yeah definitely wanna get it lowered, also pretty keen on getting some better rims, not just for looks but id like some wider ones, better traction etc.

remove the badge on the bonnet a heat gun and some fishing line will do it then just cut and polish the bonnet ass the paint wont have weathered under the badge. mine is removed on my ss and looks a little cleaner and meaner at the front.

Nice clean vs, but those hubs are shockers. If you want to keep the cops away fit some standard tail lights and hub caps and they won't look twice at you.
You didn't paint the black rubber strips did you ?

Hey nice car! sucks about the defect.. can't believe I havent been defected yet actually, exhaust sits a bit low and havent got it fixed yet :P +1 for posting 800 million photos! plenty of stuff to look at! this thread will be popular! haha

good luck with it though, i reckon if you're not going with big wheels 17s, 20s, etc just go with silver stockies and centre caps, looks mint classic look.
