    Default modifying cai yay or nay?

    hi i have acai onme vs commodore v6, if i make the intake bigger (cut the opening larger) would this cause me to lose fuel econamy or gain oranything? as ive hed if i do this the fuel econamy would stuff up

    It will do absolutly nothng. Good or bad, the car will function in exactly the same way it would have otherwise.

    Only recomend this mod if you're really really bored.

    Nah give it a go, the inlet on the super6 CAI is pretty small.A lot of members on here habe opened theirs up.

    What do you mean open up the CAI. Look at mine and let me no if thats anything like your talking about.

    Look at Daniel's (Holden Man Dan) VS, he opened up his OTR CAI with a heat gun.

    lol not gonna make a real difference without OTHER work done like changing distance of air meter to intkae etc etc
    but really not my sort of business io just like to fit whole intake setups or grind originals then retune.....
    a bit lazy yes but eaasy for a few kilowatts and a carton of empty beer bottles

    soop is right you only get out what you can get ALL THE WAY THROUGH an intake or exhaust system is only as good (or flowing) as its smallest point
    honestly though they got it pretty good on these the volumetric efficency is pretty high your not goin to greatly affect it wiothout major changes

    you might be better off just getting a better flowing air filter?

    or you can get a pod filter, and a box around it to keep out the engines heat gettin sucked in by the pody
    going supercharged with comp pacies and 3inch exhuast
