1994 VR Problem :D

Uh I was wondering if anyone knew how to remove the black strips around the side of the car properly without damaging the paint, I can take the strip off and the double sided tape but then i'm stuck with this really sticky black like paste? I've tried a caramel wheel and other various liquids but it just wont come off and i don't know what to try :O

PS, The caramel wheel damages my paint

take it to a panel beater, they wont charge too much just to remove the sticky stuff.

have you tried wax n grease remover

when i had my 4wd fish oiled i removed the residue with petrol on a rag, a small bit only

if trying any chemical on your paint , try it on a spot you wont see first incase it might react with paint

or maybe one of those clay rubbing blocks

i no this is risky but if ur careful a chisel will take it off i did that to get my badges off and didnt scratch the paint at all jst have to take a lot of care and tym
