VS 5L calais will crank but not start
need some answers please. My 5L wont start. Has fuel and spark, no error codes. Has been starting and running a bit rough lately, feels a bit like its flooded but i didn't think that could happen with EFI. any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum cman.
Check your distributor and the ignition module. Try a search for "v8 ignition module" and v8 distributor" on this forum and also on google. You will find plenty of posts. Good Luck.

Mine did a similar thing a little while ago. Cranking but not firing. Turned out that there was no injector pulse which was caused by the Hall Effect Sensor in the dizzy. One new dizzy later and problem solved.
i've already swapped the ignition module and checked the injector pulse. Their workin fine. Does the hall effect sensor affect more than just the injector pulse? Been under the bonnet all day... this things got me beat
yeah the injector pulse comes from the hall effect trigger in the dizzy.
it tells the computer to fire the injectors.
basicly it is the V8 version of a Crank Angle Sensor (not really but close enough)!
