just wondering if anyone knows what a vs berlina came standard in live axil or irs?
cheers james
99.9% sure it was live axle, irs was optional
+1 Optional
okk cheers guy and also were the lsd or was that optional as well??
Ive done some research on this as i have a vs berlina and was curious
LSD Optional
IRS Optional
So a vs berlina is live axle unless it was optioned.
Ok thanks for the info mate ... Looking at getting one and the seller doesn't know much about it apart from it been a standard berlina
ALSO anyone know wat type of manual gearboxes the series one berlina run?
not factory manual that ive seen. but it will be t5 in a series one vs.
as they were a "luxury" model dunno if they came manual i sure have never seen a manual berlina ......only my own but that was a conversion.
o yer my bad skipped over the part which said he had recently done a manual conversion .. wat are the better gearboxes out of the two??
depends what your after, as long as the auto has a good trans cooler and you change the oil atleast every say 50k, there pretty tuff, manual is tuff to. The auto in mine is untouched at 260k had 40k oil changes and big alloy cooler on the front. Still pulls hard and no slip.
looks like u got urself a bargain here all berlina are factory auto unless its hbd which will b hard to get n belive me you will have more fun wit a manual thn and auto plus you got th luxury comfort
I want to convert my vr calais to manual before I supercharge it, will the converion be any different being a calais?
Is it a big job? I havent done one but want to with someone who knows so i can say i did it on the calais myself... any suggestions?
