    Default VS Lower Grill.

Like many other vs owners, the gaping hole in my front bumper that exposes my radiator needs to be covered.
I have seen many mesh grills on vs' but i am not completely sold on the idea, looks a bit tacky.
So, does anyone have any other grills or anything they have made of?
Pictures would be helpful, looking for some inspiration.
    Cheers Lads.

mmm I'm in the same boat, the mesh doesn't look toooo bad... but makes it look kinda rice-ish.

exactly what i was thinking mate, i'm along the lines of something more subtle.
i don't know if you've seen the lower grills the BA/BF XR6's have? My mate got one for his and it looks so clean, it's like a black kind of wire thing, not the whole look at me mesh.

I fitted the insert used on the Calais.

Before I attatched it to the bar I fitted black mesh behind it (powder coated aluminium so its easy to work with) to keep the bugs out. Also put mesh behind the two upper grills.

The insert came from Holden for about $30, trade price 3 yrs ago, and the mesh from Repco for about the same money.
The insert is raw plastic and needs to be painted. Also you need to cut slots in the bar cover and use the factory clips at about $1 each.

Im not at all into the ricer scene, but this appears to be a more open type of mesh. I kept this in mind as I did not want to reduce the air flow. (a mate used a finer mesh and his car ran a little hotter on the open road). It appears to be powder coated rather than painted but either way it seems durable enough for the job.

I laugh at people that say it looks riceish...haha VZ's VE's all have mesh grill's stock.

I like the mesh grille, and I'm going to do it. When I get a spare 30 seconds.

The mesh comes in satin black.
IMO this is better as it cleans easier.

    thanks for the replies fellas.
i'm not saying it looks ricey, i am just not completely sold with it.
i just wanna see what else is out there, anything black would look good, just not the silver mesh.
