Hey guys I've just bought myself an L67 to put into my VS its from a VY and its been ported and polished and shaved 10 thou i was just lookin for some opinions on what else i should get done i'm no expert so any help would be great
Extractors and a twin 2.5" exhaust system.
I got the 2.5" exhaust already i probably shoulda mentiond that lol which extractors would you reccomend
Pacemaker.
Have you got a single 2.5?
yeah only a single cat back would it be worth gettin the double?
Definatly.
Get it done when you get the extractors.
just off the top of your head would you know a cost to get the lot done?
Cost me $2200 to do my SS. Thats with extractors, cats and a twin 2.5" system to suit my VY.
You could get it done cheaper then that though, depending on wether you use a brand name system or get the exhaust joint to make one and the cats you use.
thanks for that i will check around and get some qoutes is there anything else you could reccomend
More boost![]()
lol that was my 1st thought what is the L67 capable of without strengthened internals
I'm honestly not sure, I've heard of people running 10-14psi.
10psi seems the norm.
yeah i've heard of plenty of people runnin 10psi i've also read somewhere that F.I.T was runnin 19psi on a factory standard L67 but thats obviously a bit extreme and i seriously doubt they would get much use outta it
There are HEAPS you can do with these engines these days. I suppose it depends on how far you want to go with the build and what your budget is.

well I was hoping to make the 200RWKW mark what could you guys suggest and what price range would i be looking at?
Manual or auto?
You could get that goal through intercooling or a cam upgrade from around 2.5-3.5k including a custom tune. This figure would also be influenced by the amount of work you can do yourself.

its an auto and i've thought of gettin it intercooled what package would be good to suit
To comfortably achieve those figures you're after you'd need to be condsidering our intermediate, mega or air to air intercooler kits. To support these kits and power figures you'll also need to consider a boost upgrade kit and a set of higher ratio rockers. In all honestly I would probably start of with the later mods first as you may find that you might be happy with just these mods
