it happend to my vs was a v6 but was my lifters was expensive to fix so i just got a new motor could be something difrent for yours just something to look into
Errrr.......
Hard to tell over the interwebz but sounds a little louder and deeper than a lifter.
If it wasnt for your oil pressure reading I'd say a big end bearing.
I remember pulling the sump of a late EFI Holden V8 and I was disgusted how small the oil pickup was. They block up with $hit if the oil is not changed often enough.

MMM Sounds to me like a big end.
My 304 made a noise similar to that at one stage after i replaced the ignition coil, it was coming from one of the injectors, sounded like something was rattling around in the engine.
I was peaking thinkin to myself what had i dropped into the engine, but i hadn't had it appart to drop anything in there, after a while i strated it back up again and sure enough it was still there got faster with a rev slower as it idled down, and after approx 3 mins it went away.
So
Check your injectors they may be the problem.
Trust me sounds like a real tinny internal engine noise but actually is an injector.
This might be the case for you
My 2c
96 VS ute, L36 Auto.
Pacies, 2" catback, 18" RJR Shaddows
No more V8'S, GT35 TO GO ON SOON
took of the valve covers as they needed new gaskets anyway
no visual signs of anything wrong with rockers or springs
i think the next step is to take the car to a mechanic?
how exactly do i check my injectors?

I doubt an injector noise could be heard in that video.

could it possibly be an exhaust manifold leak?

ok ended up being a chewed up cam lobe
with 250kms on the clock i dont think its worth putting in a new cam plus the motor is now full of metal shavings
me thinky its time to build a stroker

yep inlet lobe for cylinder 7. have been told its the most common cam lobe to go wrong as it gets starved of oil

Holden V8s have done this since the dawn of time.
Back in the day a mates (near new) VK interceptor had the same issue.

Bugger, I was thinking it sounded like something to do with the valve train.
Easy way to tell, if its a big end it'll nock at engine speed. If its the valve train its usually a fast nocking.
Basically,
Big end = toc toc toc toc
valve train = Tocatocatocatoca
Sounds retarded I know, But works.
A high volume oil pump should deliver more oil to the top end. Also you can look into restricting some of the other oil galleries that get overfed, which will also make more oil get delived to the top of the engine.Theres decent engine builders around who can tell you which parts of the engine get overfed and which ones get starved.Keep this in mind before rebuilding the engine.Different oil restrictor kits are available.
Me thinks I have the same issue with my 304 and it possibly is a wiped cam lobe or effed lifter.
Mine sounds like a ticking sound coming from the drivers side of the engine nearest to the fire wall. It disappears when the engine has warmed up.
It's a blessing in disguise so that I can have new heads with big valves, swapperoony the cam and valvetrain for a solid grind and send the tranny for a rebuild. Oh well, another engine should take care of that. I'm toying with the idea of a LS1?
