Hi,
I read that the boost valve is a common part that wears out on the 4l60-e and causes the transmission to wear out.
Does anybody know on the VS How to replace this and where one can be purchased, any part numbers?
Do the use the .470 valve or the .490 valve?
Thanks.

personnally i havent and wouldnt know how, but i would recommend purchasing a maintenance/service manual to guide you through the tips and tricks.
i dont recommend using any other forumbut PovertyPack on SC has rebuilt his on his own. he should have some pointers for you.
I have just recieved a transgo shift kit, accumulator pistons, boost valve, corvette 2nd gear servo, and a few other goodies for my 4L60E and next weekend when it comes out and all the goodies go in i'll take lots a photos and write up a bit of a how to.
Keep an eye out for it.

boost valve is located inside the pump, to replace it you have pull out the transmision and take out the pump. changing bigger diameter valve for 4l60e to increase line pressure, doesnt gain much cause the pressure control solenoid still the one who control the line pressure to give smooth shifting of the gears. unless if you got shift kit or it is 4l60(VN, VP) they are more on hydrolic.
no you dont have to take the pump out it goes in via the sump from under the car while trans is still in.ide team it up with a transgo shiftkit while you are there and then you get the instructions on how to fit the boost valve in the kitget the corvette servo too

Hi,
Well changed my trans fluid sump is back on, couldn't find the boost valve.
Delcowizz where about is it? or does the valve body need to come out.
I was thinking it was visible once the pan is removed.
Blackvs that would be appreciated hey, wouldn't mind putting in a kit.
its at the front in front of the valvebody up in the round pump half with a circlip holding it in a hole
