Ok i have a Calais/Berlina interior light (with partial wiring loom) ready to go into an executive.
If i'm not mistaken, its just a matter of sorting out a bit of extra space in the headliner, the connecting positive cable from the light to positive cable from the existing interior loom and same for negative.
My issue is that the wires on the calais light are orange/black (- i think) and tan or off white (+ve i think), while for the interior loom, one wire is orange, other is orange/white. I simply need to know which wire to match to which.
orange should be +
orange/white should be -
disconnect the battery before you solder it up.
As above, the wire with the trace colour in each case is the negative. The full colour is your positive.
Ok i understand the wiring now, though how about if i just pulled out the interior light fuse instead of disconnecting the battery? Save me having to redo all the settings for the radio and all.
yeah thatd work also.
