Default vs v6 ecotec t5 exhaust manifolds

    Hi,

I am in the process of collecting all the parts I need for the manual conversion,
Have gearbox, tailshaft, starter motor and shim, clutch cable vs v6 man t5 ecu,
t5 wiring loom, shift plate, boot, console peice and pedal box.

Still need 8 bolt flywheel and clutch kit with bolts,

If anyone can suggest anything I'm missing would be greatly helpful,
So I dont get stuck on the bigday (more like week).

But Im wondering about the exhaust manifolds and Y pipe,
Are the standard auto exhaust manifolds and y pipe the same and going to clear the 5 speed? and clutch cable? etc.

Thanks guys and girls for any input

As far as i know the stock headers on vs v6 will fit both manual and auto.

-Get some new flywheel bolts, they are cheap
-You will need a clutch alignment tool, a plastic one will do..
-Get a new thrust bearing and spigot bush
-While you are at it put in a new gearbox mount as you can get them for $25 new
-At least 2L of Dex auto trans fluid to fill her up

Thats all i can think of right now

    ThanKs for the replys guys,

need flywheel and bolts still, tried wreckers wanted 200 for a vp 8 bolt may be my only option.
got a crappy plastic clutch aligning tool was rediculisly expensive for how crap it is,
gonna get spigot bush from holden and new clutch kit with bearing
actually just picked up a new mount the other day, pulled the old of and now have
decided to clean all the crap off the gearbox with a rag a petrol/ degreaser.
am about 1/8 of the way through, lol.

Do you guys recomend dex3 atf aswell as the additive?
got about 10l of 80w90 or something similar (man gear oil)

still need to find out about y pipe and headers, dont wanna get caught out.

yea use atf with the additive. I did a bit of testing with my V6 T5, tried VMX80 gear oil it worked smoother and quieter, but my v8 T5 worked better with atf

Also (if you're not already) go for a HD clutch as the stock pressure plates are piss weak. Got a mate who drives pretty easy, with the odd thrash, and he broke two within a year!
