Hi yall,
My wagon has started to show song signs of problems, and the check engine light has now started to glow.
I checked the the system to find out what the problem may be (bridging pins 5 & 6 under steering wheel), and the code it popped up was '24' (i.e. Vehicle Speed Sensor Fault - VR Computer V6 Fault Codes)
What does this mean, and what is the best way to fix it?
Any help welcome
Cheers!
First up,Id disconnect the negetive battery terminal for a minute or two to clear the error code, then recheck to see if it returns after driving the car for a good half hour.Sometimes these errors can set for no reason or from a one off "glitch".If the error code returns, then I'd be checking the speed sensor wiring and connectors.Make sure they are clean and tight. The speed sensor is located on the right side rear of the transmission,(auto). If the wiring and connectors prove to be fine, then replace the sensor. They can wear out or fail just like any other part.
