peeling clear acrylic

Does anyone know the best way or a good way to strip the clear acrylic coat from my paint job?It has started to peel in some areas already.

im not sure to be honest.i just looked at a piece that was lifting and thought it looked like an acrylic,but it is the original paint job so im unsure.what was the clear on the factory paintjob?acrylic or enamel?

Thanks for taking the time Pantha.I was eventually looking at a respray but was unsure how to get rid of the clear.By the sounds of it you can sand it using wet/dry so i might give that a bit of a try on 1 X panel and see how it goes.Thanks again for ur time.
