is it worth getting extractors for 3.8 ecotec vs ute thats auto
I fitted pacemakers to my VSV6 as my exhaust manifold cracked. They made it better on fuel, and made the engine run cooler.Oh,and it sounds better too.So yes,Id say they are worth it just for the fuel savings. Also dont expect a huge improvement in power on a standard V6 ecotec engine. The best "cheap" mod for a standard V6 engine if you want it to go better is probably a performance chip for the ECU.Ive just finished doing my own chip for my car, and it has made a big improvement over the standard chip, the engine is a lot livelier.I also changed some of the the shift settings in the auto trans settings, and it shifts beautifully now instead of the standard laggy slow shifts. Its how holden should have had it set in the first place. Its just a standard auto, nothing else done to it.

yep worth the money, get a bigger CAI so it can flow through better then, a tune can add a bit more zip to it again as above. Holdens stock tunes generally are pretty lazy as they have to cater to every type of running conditions and all fuel types, if you can run 95/98 all the time there's some good gains to be had.
