Default VR running rough after inlet manifold changed out

Just recently changed out my inlet manifold gasket on my VR,
Started the car and it idles fairly rough, nearly stalling,

Went for a drive and my exhaust was cooking hot,

Engine light comes on when ECU ramps idle up to about 2000rpm then idles about 750rpm again,

Full story is the cars been parked up for about 3 months till I got around to changing it out, at the same time I took off my 65mm throttle body and replaced it with the standard 60mm unit, Not sure if I need to reset the IAC valve or has my fuel gone off? went to the servo and filled the tank up but no change.

Did a search and found a few threads about issues but nothing like mine, checked all the leads for correct location and contact, all seems good.

    Any suggestions crew?

    Thanks for the reply's

Checked error codes got 1 flash gap 2 quick flashes, code 12 system ok......... not the case!
Then after that repeats it's self a few times, I get 3 quick flashes then a gap and this repeats itself not sure what this one is ?

I gonna put my bored out throttle body back on tonight and see how it idles, then check all the wiring again.

The engine light comes on but doesnt throw a code? doesnt make sense.

    My guess is the TPS.

after three times getting code 12 then it should spit out other codes, so you got a 3 after code 12? what was after the 3?

    Now for an update,

Changed throttle body back to 65mm, no change,

Checked leads correct points all good,

Checked error codes 12 and 33 (not sure on this one)

I remember starting the car up before I filled the car with coolant and it ran smooth and normal........

So I 'm thinking I have coolant leaking into the cylinder causing it to run rough?

I stripped the inlet manifold today and found the front bolts were probaly a bit tight and I got confused in the order to do them up. Now after my failed first attempt ( walks of in shame) can I re use the same inlet manifold gasket? it peeled off all good just need to clean the blue silicon sealer off.

    Any tips would be great

Code 33 is MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor, voltage high. Also did you use a workshop manual like the gregorys ones when replacing the gaskets etc.You need to do the inlet manifold bolts up in a certain order, and tighten the bolts to a certain tension.(which is actually not very tight),only 8 to 12 Nm.If you dont follow these steps, you run the risk of the manifold gasket cracking, blowing out or leaking again. You can also warp the inlet manifold and cause more problems. You need a tension (or torque) wrench to tighten these bolts accurately.Buying a good quality tension wrench is a must if you are doing your own work, but definitely worth it..You will find most bolts and nuts etc on the vehicle body and engine will tighten up to a certain tension, its always good to follow what the manual says in these cases.

I did use a workshop manual but not very well,
Thanks for the code 33 makes sense
I 'll clean up the gasket and see if I can re use it, as it only ran the engine for a couple of minutes,
My socket was slipping on the bolts last time, which felt like the torque wrench was reachinng it's set torque, Oh well bit of a learning experience.

Check the Hose that goes to the MAP, i forgot this and ran like a heap of shit. put hose back on and all good.

Yes 8-12 NM is the specs, doing them up from the middle in a diagonal pattern outwards
