changing headers on vr stato 5lr

hey guys and gals look today i started trying to change the headers on my car got the passenger side out easy as drivers side was a different story, got all the bolts out alright, but having hell getting the header out, i have been told to drop the power steering rack but i was woundering if there is any other was to get them out cause i can't come out the top cause it hits the abs any advice would be great and if there is anytrick to putting them back in 2

its a pain in the ass. the only way i could get the pacemaker headers on my 5 litre were by removing the steering rack and lifting the engine a bit and even then it was tight as.

thanks mate lol thats the only thing i was trying to aviod was lifting the motor since i don't have an engine crane

It will come out, you've just gotta twist it. It sort of comes out up and forward. It's an utterly retarded design.
I bet you had fun with the Y pipe on that side.
