VR Calais gearbox trouble

Running a 5sp man, in a vr calais, thinking my gear box is hitting the floor around 3000 rpm in 1st second and third gear, vibrating terrible noise, could it be the crossmember? ideas please

could be the crossmember or your center bearing stuffed, and under power its twisting over and hitting your tunnel. If you have a look you will see a shiny spot were its been rubbing.

Could also be one or more of the engine/transmission mounts, especially the rear one which can allow the rear of the gearbox to move up/down/sideways and hit the body.
