heater fan plus

V.S. series 2. Hi, heater fan gave up the ghost after working intermittently. Was working fine then just cut in and out. Also the rear window demister ceased to work at the same time and the air con stopped working as well. The hazard lights still work though. I have checked relays and such. Pulled out cd head unit and it went downhill sometime after that but considering this coincidental. Any help would be much appreciated. Normally when there is a problem I find fixes on jc but this ones a head scratcher.

Check the blower fusible link which is located down in the small box in front of the fuse box under the bonnet.If this shows to be ok,then check the blower relay located under the bonnet in the fuse box.You can swap this relay for the horn relay or one thats the same ,to test it to see if its causing the problem.Does it work on any other speeds,or just on hi?If you only have the hi fan working,then it will be the fan motor resistor block which is located under the plastic panel under the windscreen.

Three things do not work at all. Heater fan. rear demister and air conditioner so I an thinking a short somewhere. Have swapped relays and fuses. No joy there. Had a gander at the resisitor, its the solid state type not the element. Not related I say.

I think the "Hi" was as in hello, not HIGH.
