i changed my fuel tank yesterday and after my car ddnt start, i changed the fuel pump then it started, left it running for awhile, then i stops n started it again n it worked. now if i try start it i can hear the startor motor workin and the engine seems like its trying to crank over but does really slowly then dies? the fuel pump is workin and petrol is gettin into the fuel rails.
i noticed the rubber tubbing connecting the fuel pump to the lines gets fat when i try start it.
whats wrong with it? is it a fuel problem or something else?
please help
Maybe the fuel pump is working and pumping fuel, but it might be a bit worn out and not be able to pump enough pressure, which will stop the injectors from working properly. You can get the fuel pressure tested easily enough at just about any mechanics,or just do it yourself if you have the gear to do so..Id also check for a blocked fuel filter.Maybe some dirt, dust or rubbish of some kind got into the fuel tank while swapping or fitting up the tank .It doesnt take much to block up a fuel filter. And a blocked fuel filter can definitely drop the fuel pressure enough to stop the car from starting or running properly.
i changed the fuel tank back to the origional one, then it was doin the same thing then afta a bit of stuffing around i jump started it from another car and it just turned ova n seems to work now
battery not putting out enough CCA?

I'D replace that rubber fuel hose that "gets fat" as soon as possible. If one blows, fuel is sprayed in all directions at 40psi - over the hot exhaust, ignition system etc....result is BOOM.
