diffrent trans for vr

hey guys just wondering if its possible to put a powerglide or t350/t400 with a big stally behind the 3.8 and just get the ecu/chip changed to a manual config ! ????? oh and no i dont care about overdrive lockup converter etc

Why would you want to?

main reason its not going to be a daily driver and i dont want the lecky box "4l60e" and i want a higher stall around 3000-3500 and for future plans a powerglide or 350-400 suits my needs better but i guess if its the same bolt pattern on the block as a chev ??? then it should work ??
